Richard Fields is Chairman of Coastal Development, LLC, a privately owned real estate development company specializing in luxury resorts, vacation destinations, family-friendly entertainment venues, and Indian gaming facilities.
Coastal Development LLC was founded in the late 1990s by Richard Fields, whose substantial experience in the entertainment industry allowed him the opportunity to learn the business from Donald Trump when Trump worked with Richard Fields on the expansion of Trump’s family entertainment, resort, and casino properties.
Since striking out on his own with Coastal Development LLC, Richard Fields has taken on a number of successful projects, including the co-development of the Hard Rock Seminole Casinos in Tampa and Hollywood. The Hard Rock Seminole Casino Resorts opened in 2004 and are among the most successful in North America. In 2008, Richard Fields expanded his resort development properties and renewed his relationship with Donald Trump when his company Coastal Marina, LLC, an affiliate of Coastal Development, LLC, purchased the Trump Marina Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, which will be renamed Margaritaville as part of the hotel chain honoring Jimmy Buffet.
Coastal Development, LCC is also currently working to revitalize New England's only thoroughbred race track, Suffolk Downs.
