Richard Fields: New York
Coastal Development, LLC, is a privately owned and operated development and finance company specializing in entertainment projects, resort destinations, luxury hotels and casino gaming facilities.
Richard Fields co-developed the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with the Cordish Company of Baltimore. The Seminole project includes two locations in Florida; each with a hotel and casino, shopping centers, entertainment venues, restaurants and other family attractions. Opened in 2004, the Seminole project has been remarkably successful over the past two years.
Currently Richard Fields is a member of Excelsior Racing Associates; a team brought together to purchase control of three New York racetracks. The Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga racetracks have been operated by the New York Racing Association since 1955. In addition to Richard Fields the Excelsior team includes Steve Swindal, Jerry Bilinski, Jerry Bailey and Gary Contessa.
Richard Fields owns Jackson Land and Cattle (JLC); a ranching company in Wyoming. JLC gives Fields an opportunity to pursue one of his personal interests as a rancher. Through JLC he supports ranching and the quarter horse industry in Jackson and also local Jackson groups.
Richard Fields is a committed philanthropist. Richard created the Fields Family Foundation and generously supports the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Good Shepherd Services, the New York Police Foundation, and the American Quarter Horse Foundation.
